This client is one of Europe’s leading specialized onion exporters, with operations spanning its own cultivation bases in the Netherlands and exports to 10 European countries, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Belgium, exporting hundreds of thousands of metric tons of onions annually.

The product is primarily packaged for export in 25kg red or orange PE Raschel mesh bags, which must meet strict requirements for breathability and print quality.

Challenges Faced by Customers

1.Onions are distributed across continents via sea and land transport; when the mesh bags lack sufficient breathability, sprouting and rotting during transport result in high wastage;

2.The client also requested a reduction in packaging procurement costs and wanted the color of the mesh bags to align with the brand’s visual identity.

Proposed Solutions

We custom-manufactured and supplied this client with red PE Raschel mesh bags, measuring 50 × 80 cm, with a nominal capacity of 25kg, featuring green woven handles and a label cord; the mesh density was optimized to meet European maritime shipping requirements for onion ventilation.

At the same time, we will ensure a stable supply of the orange version for repackaging across multiple product categories, as requested by the customer, and provide quality samples from consecutive batches.
